Two Ways to Stop Barking Dogs Instantly

There is nothing that is more annoying than a dog that won’t stop barking.  Sometimes it is our dog that seems to bark all the time, and at other times it is our neighbor’s dog that won’t stop barking. If you want to stop barking dogs then here are two ways that will work instantly.

It doesn’t matter if it is your dog or someone else’s; a barking dog is a nuisance.  Many times, however, we misinterpret why the dog is barking.  If the dog is left outside its own, and his master has gone away, then many times it will bark because it is lonely.  In order to fix this situation you’re going to need to distract the dog somehow and keep it distracted for a while.  This can easily be done if it is your dog by using a treat, but with a neighbor’s dog it is not always possible to give them a treat. You will need to find another way to distract them.  One of the easiest ways to do this is through the use of a loud sound, such as an air horn.  This may grab the dog’s attention away from barking and should be enough to make it stop.

Dogs will also bark when they are trying to get their point across.  If your dog barks because they are trying to get your attention then you need to teach it that this is not necessary.  In order to stop barking dogs when they are vying for your attention, you need to train them otherwise.  By yelling at the dog or telling it to be quiet, in this particular case, you are simply giving the dog some form of attention and reinforcing its barking behavior.  It is a difficult thing to do but it is well worth the time when the barking finally stops.
